When it comes to building websites, best-selling author Seth Godin had it right back in 2013 when he said:
The only reason to build a website is to change someone. If you can’t tell me the change and you can’t tell me the someone, then you’re wasting your time.”
Mr. Godin went on to list a series of questions to address the many challenges of any website:
(1) Who is this site for? (2) How did they find out about it? (3) What do you want visitors to do when they reach your site? (4) How will they decide to do that. (5)What promises do you make to cause that action?
Freelance writer Todd Jones explains the process of creating a website which begins “with the end in mind”, to quote Stephen Covey. “It starts with solving a problem, and the most pressing problem of businesses of all sizes is converting visitors.”
